I'm A Celebrity star Declan Donnelly has been named the show's most popular host in a landslide victory over his longtime colleague Ant McPartlin.

Mirror Online can exclusively reveal Dec has been named the public's favourite IAC presenter.

In a new survey, fans of the show were asked to pick their best-loved host with 52% picking Dec.

Ant received 22% of the vote, with the remaining 27% admitting they struggled to tell the difference between the two telly favourites.

The pair have been hosting the show together since its launch back in 2002.

Ant took a year off back in 2018 to deal with his personal problems after his drink-driving conviction and was replaced by Holly Willoughy for one series only.

The Geordie TV veteran returned for the 2019 show, reuniting with Dec in Australia.

They are back together again this year but instead of flying to Australia for their annual fun in the sun, they are off to Wales.

The show is being filmed at Gwrych Castle instead of the jungle this year due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The pair are going to be packing their thermals for this year's IAC

It returns to TV tomorrow night with stars including Shane Richie, Vernon Kay and Mo Farah taking part.

There's going to be a raft of changes to the format as the stars sleep in an eerie ruined castle instead of camping in Australia.

They will also be forced to stay up late into the night with trials all taking place after dark and dinner not being held until midnight.

I'm A Celebrity returns Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
