With over one billion active users, Instagram is without a doubt one of the most popular apps around the world.
Now, Instagram has quietly started rolling out a new layout, and users are not happy about it.
The new layout makes a major change to the way in which you post photos.
Previously, to post a photo or video you would tap the '+' icon in the centre of the bar at the bottom of the screen.
But this icon has now been replaced with the camera icon, which takes you through to post to your Story.
Now, to post a photo or video to your main feed, you must tap the ‘+’ in the top left corner of the screen.

Several frustrated users have taken to Twitter to discuss the change.
One user said: “New Instagram layout. Terrible design. Wanted to post and couldn't work out what to click.”
Another added: “Hey Instagram replacing the 'new post' button with the camera icon sucks, especially as it defaults to stories (which I never do). Give me back the add post button.”
And one vented: “Anyone else opened the Instagram app and found that you have to go through several menus/pages to get to posting a picture?

“What's the point of that? Isn't the whole point of Insta to post pictures?”
Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, revealed that Instagram is testing several different versions of its home screen.
He explained: "We’re starting to test different versions of Instagram’s home screen – when you open the app you’ll soon see a Reels tab and a Shop tab in one of three layouts.
"These changes reflect shifts we’re seeing from people, both in how they use the product but also how they push culture forward on Instagram: rise of creators, explosion of video, acceleration of online shopping. We want to adapt to these shifts while keeping things simple."
It remains unclear whether the new layouts will be rolled out to all Instagram users.
