Matteo Guendouzi has been warned he “doesn’t have a future at Arsenal ”, with Mikel Arteta ready to show his ruthless streak.
That’s the view of Gunners favourite Kevin Campbell, who believes Gunedouzi, along with Mezut Ozil, didn't toe the line under the Spaniard.
Gunedouzi was a regular under Arteta, until he was dismissed for a petulant bust-up following the defeat to Brighton at the back end of last season.
Following his red-card against the Seagulls, the Arsenal boss completely ostracised him from the squad – not making another appearance.

After being linked with a transfer for much of the summer window, the Frenchman completed a season-long loan deal to Hertha Berlin
Guendouzi’s long-term future is still in the air, but Campbell believes his bridges have been burned in north London and he will not play for the club again.
“I do not think he will play for Arsenal again,” he told Football Insider. “He doesn’t have a future at Arsenal. Mikel Arteta put him in detention after the Brighton game last season, that is what it was – detention.
“A manager like Arteta wants to see that you can toe the line, take your punishment, keep your trap shut and get working. Guendouzi could not do it.
Kevin Campbell has claimed Arteta is strong enough to exclude players he doesn't trust
“He was given a clean slate at the start of the season, like Mezut Ozil, but they did not toe the line.
“Arteta is strong enough to exclude players he cannot trust. When a manager cannot trust you he is not going to back you.
“The good thing is they got him out on loan because you cannot afford to havie ill-disciplined players like that in and around the club. The right thing was to get him out on loan.”
When asked last month, if a future at Arsenal was impossible, Gunedouzi replied: "It is not that, I just really needed to play this year, a new challenge.

"That was the most important thing for me. I am still young, I am only 21, so playing time was the top priority for me.
"I know that by going to Hertha Berlin, I’ll be able to really express myself in a great league, so everything is perfect.
“They’re a very good German club, with great ambition, so I’ve gone on loan for a year over there.
"I’m going to give everything for this club. I needed game time, to enjoy myself on the pitch and that’s what I’m going to do this year."
