Nicolas Pepe was sent off as Arsenal played out an entertaining goalless draw with Leeds.

Leeds started brightly but the goal frame came to their aid as Pepe twisted and turned past Luke Ayling on the left before a cross-shot from an acute angle came back off the crossbar.

The home side had 13 shots in the first half but only two were on target – as the teams went in goalless at the interval.

Arsenal were reduced to 10 men early in the second half when Pepe saw red for headbutting Ezgjan Alioski.

Leeds forward Rodrigo came close 10 minutes from time when his superb curling effort from the right side of the area crashed back off the crossbar with Bernd Leno beaten.

Marcelo Bielsa's men were denied by the woodwork twice late on as Patrick Bamford and Rafinha hit the frame of the goal.
