Brave radio presenter Roman Kemp is set to front a BBC documentary about male suicide following the death of his best friend Joe Lyons.
The Capital Breakfast show host, 27, lost his pal and talented producer in August last year, prompting Roman to take and extended break from work as he struggled to come to terms with Joe’s death.
The popular DJ is now set to attempt to turn his unimaginable heartbreak into an awareness-raising positive in the form of a powerful documentary about male suicide.
The I’m A Celebrity finalist will reportedly talk intimately about the days following the awful news of his friend and colleague’s passing.
He’ll also look into why male suicide rates are so high and what can be done to help others who are struggling.

Roman has previously urged his fans to reach out to family and friends if they are struggling, after having not realised the extent to which Joe was not coping.
Now, Roman is said to want to convey that message in a more formal and wider-reaching way, in the form of a documentary with the BBC.
A source told the Sun : “Roman now wants to send that message in a more formal way with a whole show dedicated to Joe, in the hope it helps others.
“With so many people isolating due to the pandemic and feeling detached from their normal lives and friends, it was felt this message of support could not come at a better time and will hopefully make a difference to those who may well be experiencing similar feelings.”
