A major fire is raging at a block of flats in London as eyewitness describe a massive emergency services response.
Around six fire engines and 40 firefighters have been sent to Hammersmith where footage shows black smoke pouring out of a fifth floor flat.
Terrified eyewitnesses expressed their worry for anyone caught up in the blaze as police sirens blare and the smoke rises.
One woman has been taken to hospital suffering with shock after being caught up in the emergency, at Verulam House in the south west London borough.

London Fire Brigade said: "Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters have been called to a fire at a flat on Hammersmith Grove in Hammersmith.
"Part of a flat on the fifth floor of an eight-storey block is alight.
"The Brigade's 999 Control Officers have taken 17 calls to the blaze.
"The Brigade was called at 1321. Fire crews from Chiswick, Fulham, North Kensington and Lambeth fire stations are at the scene.
Smoke is rising into the sky
"The cause of the fire is not known at this stage."
Later, the fire service revealed the fire was under control at 2.16pm.
A spokesperson later said: "Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat on Hammersmith Grove in Hammersmith.
"Part of a flat on the fifth floor of an eight-storey block was alight. One woman was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews suffering with shock."

They added: "The Brigade was called at 1.21pm and the fire was under control by 2.16pm. Fire crews from Chiswick, Fulham, North Kensington and Lambeth fire stations were at the scene.
"The cause of the fire is under investigation."
Station Commander, Dan Johnson, who was at the scene said: "Firefighters were faced with a very well developed fire on arrival.
"The smoke was very visible from the outside of the building and resulted in our Control Officers taking 17 calls to the blaze.
"Crews worked hard to tackle the fire and contained it to the affected flat."
One eyewitness tweeted: "Hope everyone OK.
"Big fire near Goldhawk Road Station.
"We can see flames and smoke from our balcony on Shepherds Bush Road."
Police are on scene
They lated added: "7 fire engines and counting. Multiple ambulances and police. Feeling very worried about everyone.
"Can hear all the sirens. Crazy.
"Hope everyone is OK the smoke smells so strong."
Another said: "I've seen more than 10 unmarked police cars with sirens/lights and they keep coming.
There is a major emergency services response
"Not a good sign I guess (in front of Shepherd's Bush Green)."
Twitter user Tim Judah wrote: "Fire now in Verulam House in Shepherds Bush / Hammersmith. Police don’t know yet what has happened inside."
The London Ambulance Service and the Metropolitan Police have been approached for comment.
