Lorraine Kelly has apologised to comedian Eddie Izzard for misgendering her during an interview on Thursday's show.
Eddie accepted Lorraine's apology graciously and said she does not generally mind too much, but prefers she/her pronouns when she is presenting as a woman, as she was on the show.
Lorraine and Eddie were discussing Eddie's incredible feat of attempting to run 31 marathons and perform 31 stand up shows in as many days.
Lorraine said: "Just before Christmas you were in the news wanting to be known as 'she' now, and so can I apologise to you if I get that wrong.
"Because we are still kind of just going along with it."
Eddie replied: "Let me say this, I just request, and I have been out for 35 years, 1985, a lot of people are supportive.
Eddie said she gets a "wonderful feeling" when people use she/her pronouns

Nicola Sturgeon calls for 'grown ups' in charge instead of 'juvenile' Boris Johnson
"I was asked, and I thought, 'Well I would like to be she, because I was in girl mode.
"There is a request, but it is never a demand or an insistence, and some people twist that and some people get het up about it.
"It's as if people are saying, 'Are you serious about being trans because we just didn't know for 35 years?’'
"If people have a problem, just call me Eddie, it's no big deal for me, I am gender fluid, I do all my dramatic roles in boy mode.
Lorraine had been called out on social media for using the wrong pronouns
"If people are angry, I am trying to tell the truth at a time when lies are used as a tool of politics."
She added: "I am trying to tell what is actually going on and we are getting closer and closer to finding out what the genetic thing is in transgender and that is going to help humanity.
"This century I think is the coming of age of humanity, it is either going to be our first century or our last. We are either going to make it a fair world for everyone or we are not going to make it."
"It is live and let live, if anyone refers to me as ‘she’ or ‘her’, I feel a wonderful feeling.
"But if they go ‘he’ or they just call me ‘Eddie’ or ‘mate’ or ‘mush’ – mush is alright – I want everyone to back off it.
Eddie called Trump a "fake President"
"We are all girls as a foetus as then some of us get coded boys… Stop being so obsessed about this, just back off, we are all human beings and we need to make humanity work.”
Asked about Donald Trump amid the recent capitol riots, Eddie said: "What Donald Trump does seems to destroy humanity, he has lied and lied so many times, you can’t keep up with it.
"If lying is allowed to be a tool of politics, then humanity dies. That is what was happening yesterday and he is a fake President. That is how he will be [known] in history.
Eddie also talked about her political ambitions, saying: "I would have stood in the last election, I couldn’t get a seat due to whatever reasons… politics is politics.
"I am a member of the Labour party so that is what I fight for, if a by-election seat came up and it was a good fit then I would fight for that and if not then the next election…
"You know me, I am a relentless so and so and I will keep going until I get into parliament as an MP."
