Having a January birthday, we imagine the Duchess of Cambridge never imagined she'd be having a lockdown birthday.
But, almost 10 months after restrictions were put in place, Prince William, George, Charlotte and Louis will have to make a big effort to make' Kate's 39th celebrations extra special.
She normally marks the day with family gatherings, small parties and dinners with friends.
But before she married her prince in 2011 and became a member of the royal family, the celebrations were a lot more exciting.
She normally hit the London clubbing scene with her friends, and she was treated to a few romantic evenings with her then boyfriend, William.
We've had a look through some of Kate's pre-royal birthdays, and what she's done in more recent years.
After meeting William when she was in her late teens at university, Kate was well used to being in the media spotlight by the time she turned 25.

Kate Middleton's strictest rule for George, Charlotte and Louis – and it's 'off limits'
Kate celebrated the day with a party at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury, with William driving up to join in the fun.
According to Hello!, William surprised Kate with a romantic candle-lit dinner in a remote log cabin on the Royal Family's Balmoral estate.
The day before Kate's 29th birthday, her last as a non-royal, she attended the wedding of pals Harry Aubrey-Fletcher and Louise Stourton in Yorkshire with Prince William.
There's a chance the couple made a weekend of it and Kate spend her special day enjoying the countryside.
Kate celebrated hitting the big 3-0 with her family and friends. Her mum Carole and brother James were spotted leaving their home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, on the day, presumably on their way to go and see the birthday girl.
Kate celebrated her 31st birthday by going to watch Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall.

She was joined by Prince William, Pippa, James, Carole and Michael Middleton and some of her closest friends.
Kate was six months pregnant with Prince Louis last year, so we expect it was a pretty quiet affair.
The Palace said she spend the day privately with her family.
We don't know exactly how Kate celebrated last year, but we do know that William wasn't there.
He's spending the day at his first official engagement of the year, a visit to Royal London Hospital to celebrate 30 years of London's Air Ambulance.
But his wife wasn't far from his mind, as staff handed over a sweet homemade birthday card for him to pass on when he got home.
Some of the younger guests also handed over presents, with William joking to one little boy: Well done you for remembering!' before adding: "I did remember this morning, so I was okay".
Last year, Kate's birthday was slightly overshadowed by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's bombshell announcement in which they told the world they were quitting the royal family.
They shared the message the day before her birthday, meaning the royal family was in chaos as they tried to work out what was going on and the next steps.
However, Kate and Wills carried on with their celebrations and marked the day with a new photo of Kate.
It showed a dressed down Duchess wearing jeans and a jumper, sitting on a fence in front of a green field, and was shared alongside the message: "Thank you everyone for all your lovely messages on The Duchess of Cambridge’s birthday!"
The couple also hosted a party at Anmer Hall.
Kate's parents Carole and Michael Middleton were on the guestlist, Tom van Straubenzee and his fiancee Lucy Lanigan-O'Keeffe, who is a teacher at George and Charlotte's school, were among the guests who spend the day at the family's Norfolk home.
