Time is running out for Chelsea to make any moves in the January transfer window.

The Blues splashed out over £200m on new signings over the summer but have been uncharacteristically quiet so far.

Nevertheless, there is still time for all that to change, and it remains to be seen if they decide to make any last-minute swoops before the market closes.

And they may well also look to get rid of some of their deadwood and recoup some of the vast amounts they have spent recently.

Here is a look at all the latest transfer rumours coming out of Stamford Bridge…

Dayot Upamecano has recently become one of the most highly sought-after young defenders in Europe following his superb performances for RB Leipzig in the last few seasons.

The likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are all said to be interested, with Chelsea also believed to have recently joined the party.

He is unlikely to be allowed to leave this month, but according to The Guardian the 22-year-old centre-back could be available at the end of the season for as little as £37.4m due to a release clause in his contract.

It remains to be seen if any teams attempt to make a blockbuster bid for the player in the current winter window.

But it seems more likely there could be a transfer tug-of-war on the cards, involving Chelsea, come the summer.

Tomori update

It looks like just a matter of time until Fikayo Tomori's loan deal to AC Milan is finalised.

The 23-year-old defender looked like one of the hottest young prospects in England with his performances last season.

But he has fallen down Frank Lampard's pecking order in the current campaign, making just four appearances all season.

Tomori is expected to join Milan in the coming days, and club legend and current technical director Paolo Maldini confirmed the move is close.

"We wanted Fikayo Tomori also last summer," he told Sky Italia.

"He's always been one of our targets. He's perfect for our squad – we're working on the last details."

Drinkwater deal confirmed

As expected, forgotten midfielder Danny Drinkwater has joined Turkish side Kasimpasa on loan until the end of the season.

It is believed the Blues will pay the majority of Drinkwater's wages for the remainder of the campaign.

The 30-year-old was sent on largely unsuccessful loans to both Burnley and Aston Villa last season, and has spent the majority of the current one representing Chelsea U23s.

The former Premier League winner will be hoping the move abroad will help kick-start his career following a desperately disappointing spell at Stamford Bridge.
