Holly Willoughby left viewers divided when she introduced a segment on This Morning about making scones.

Earlier in the show, the television star had revealed that she even had to ask her mum about how to properly pronounce the word.

Before introducing her co-star Donal Skehan, Holly erupted into laughter and admitted to Phillip Schofield that she had been very nervous about pronouncing scone on air.

"As sales of jam and marmalade see a resurgence during lockdown, Donal is showing you how to make the perfect accompaniment – scones," Holly said with a grin.

The blonde bombshell then began to snigger as she tried to control herself, adding: "I was so panicking about saying scone, that I think I said accompaniment wrong.
