Katie Price's boyfriend Carl Woods has opened up about the sweet bond he has developed with Harvey.

The former Love Island star, who has been with Katie seven months, says he even FaceTimes the 18-year-old when they are apart.

Last week, Kate revealed that she has made the difficult decision to move Harvey into a residential college so that he can live a more independent life.

Discussing the change, Carl told Closer magazine: "It’s a chance to give Harvey some independence as he develops into a young adult.

She is set to open up about her experience as a single mum to a disabled child reaching adulthood as part of a new BBC documentary.

"Things change when you're 18 for anyone. You become an adult. Whereas for Harvey he's got complex needs," Katie explains in the trailer.

Opening up about the agonising move, Katie, 42, told The Sun : “It breaks my heart. I don’t want him to think I’m just getting rid of him."

"It’s so upsetting to think I won’t see him every day but this is the best thing for Harvey and we have to think positively.

"This is his chance to live an independent life, learn skills and socialise with people other than me," she said.

Katie Price: Harvey and Me is confirmed to air from January 25 and will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
