Ozil is poised to sign a three-and-a-half year contract with the Turkish side.

A signing bonus is set to come the 32-year-old's way while he will also get add-ons should Fenerbahce win the title or qualify for the Champions League.

Shirts with Ozil's name are set to go on sale the day he is officially announced.

The German is poised to take on the no 67 shirt for the remainder of the season before being the no 10 moving forward.

Ozil has not played competitively since March having been frozen out at Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta opted to leave the player out of his domestic and European squads which spelt the beginning of the end for the World Cup winner.

Ozil was signed by Arsene Wenger in 2013 and the former Gunners boss has backed him to be a success in the right environment.

"I'm sure that he's frustrated at not having played. His hunger must be absolutely [enormous] to play football again," Wenger told beIN SPORTS .

"Mesut is a guy who needs a warm environment and I believe he will find that more than anywhere else in Turkey.

"Overall, he can provide the balls that the strikers need to win football games. If they do that well, they have a good chance of winning the league.

"I will follow that with great attention."
