A man was found hiding inside a wall wearing nothing put a pair of boxer shorts during a police raid.

Greater Manchester Police shared shocking footage of the moment officers discovered the man at an address the say is in Merseyside.

The clip, uploaded on to Twitter this afternoon, captures police using a knife to open a small cubby hole door on a wall before the man's head emerges.

He then climbs out of the small hole in the bathroom and can be seen wearing nothing but his undies, Liverpool Echo reports.

Police support the man as he wriggles his way out of the tiny space.

He wriggles into the waiting arms of police who haul him down from the counter and arrest him.

The 32-year-old has been held on suspicion of two domestic violence offences, a driving offence and on recall to prison.

Accompanying the footage, Greater Manchester Police tweeted: "Some people go to extreme lengths to evade police but this wanted man was today found hiding in a wall at an address in #Merseyside by our #Wigan District Tasking Team.

"It's fair to say we'll quite literally go through walls to catch those that we're after!"
