Neighbours stars and real-life couple Chris Milligan and Jenna Rosenow are engaged.

The happy couple have been flooded with messages of congratulations after Chris shared a snap of them together enjoying the sunset on the beach.

"How good is a sunset," Chris wrote, an engagement ring visible on smiling Jenna's hand.

Some of their co-stars on the Aussie soap have shared their congratulations.

Stars April Rose Pengilly, Takaya Honda, and Ben Hall all penned messages.

"CONGRATULATIONS!" an excited April wrote.

"Congratulations guys," offered Ben.

And Takaya chimed in: "haha yassss #subtle late congrats."

Chris and Jenna both announced they were quitting Neighbours back in 2016 as they pursued other career opportunities.

Three years down the line, though, and Chris' character Kyle Canning made his much-requested return.

Jenna, meanwhile, had played Amber Turner since 2013.

She went on to land a role in TV superhero bash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and will feature in an upcoming Netflix project titled Firefly Lane.

The series will also star the likes of Katherine Heigl, Sarah Chalke and Ben Lawson.

Chris shared the sweet moment he first met Jenna on Takaya's podcast, admitting he knew he liked her the moment she came on set.

Opening up about their decision to move to LA in pursuit of other acting opportunities, he told: "I mean me and Jenna moved to LA, we were in LA for two years.

"Then we moved to Canada for six months. Then I came back to Brisbane, back to labouring work for three months, and then I came back on the show."
