Daniel Farke insists he loves being the frontrunner and has the know-how to clinch another title.

Norwich's German coach led the Canaries to the title in the Championship before relegation last term.

City went up with 94 points and 27 victories and are on course to better that haul with 50 points already ahead of Bristol City's visit tonight.

Now Farke is aiming to repeat the feat in his fourth campaign at Carrow Road.

He has developed a taste for promotion after taking SV Lippstadt 08 from the sixth tier of German football to the fourth before bossing Borussia Dortmund's reserves.

Farke, 44, said: “It is always better to be in the best position.

“In my career as a coach I was already several times, even in Germany in lower levels, able to lift a trophy.

“It is a process as it is difficult to win a league or a trophy.

“Even if you work in the third or the fourth tier, it is the same like in the Premier League.

“You have to create a winning mentality and you have to keep going.

“We have proved this as a club and as a team we can handle this pressure.

“It is always good to have this experience how it feels to lift a trophy and win the league.

“I am really grateful I have had this experience a few times.

“It is much better than to fight against relegation or be in the runner-up position.

“I wouldn't complain if we can stay top a little bit longer.”

Norwich's rise has been fuelled by the form of star man Emiliano Buendia.

The Argentine attacking ace,24, has seven goals and six assists which has seen him linked with Arsenal as Mesut Ozil's replacement.

But Farke insisted: “He was not in my coaching office asking for something.

“He is a proper team-mate, concentrated in the training sessions and the last game.

“He is absolutely happy and knows he has a coach and team-mates who want him to be successful and love him.

“Arsenal are one of the best clubs in this country and also Europe.

“But it makes no sense to have a move in January.”
