Marvel has released the thrilling first trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

The new film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a martial arts-led action adventure focused on Marvel Comics hero Shang-Chi, played by Simu Liu.

The character was raised to be an assassin by the criminal organization known as the Ten Rings, led by Shang-Chi's father, Wenwu/The Mandarin, played by Tony Leung.

However, as Shang-Chi tries to lead a normal life in San Fransisco, he is soon drawn back into the darkest depths of his past.

Sir Ben Kingsley previously played the role of Trevor Slattery, an actor who pretended to be The Mandarin in Iron Man 3, but this film will introduce the first genuine adaptation of the character.
