Katie Price has revealed that parents at her children's schools talk about her behind her back.

The mum-of-five, 42, appeared on Channel 4 show Steph's Packed Lunch and said she always wanted to have a big family, but gets mum-shamed a lot.

She is mum to Harvey, 19, with her ex Dwight Yorke, Junior, 14, and Princess, 13, with her first husband Peter Andre and Jett, seven, and six-year-old Bunny with her third husband Kieran Hayler.

Speaking on the show on Wednesday, host Steph McGovern asked Katie if the criticism she gets would stop her from posting about her kids, to which Kate replied: "The thing is it's their friends at school that say it.

"It shocks me sometimes, how would the kids even know it? It must be because the mums must talk about me."

The show also played a video montage of Katie playing with her kids as she continued to discuss all the hate she gets.

She said: "I do get criticised for the way I bring up my kids, whether it's the press or on social media, people feel they can say what they want.

"I call them the parent police."

Katie she admitted that it can be "chaos" having so many.

"I am definitely no Mary Poppins, definitely not," she continued. "People look up to me as a role model, but I do make mistakes, nobody's perfect.

"There's no perfect parent, you just do what you do."

Katie said she is "sick to death of defending herself".

She went on: "I am what I am, we all bring up our kids differently and I'm happy with the way I bring up my kids."

The former glamour model admitted her children have different lives because she is famous.

Katie asked Bunny and Jett what they think about having a celebrity as a mum.

She asked them what they thought being famous meant and Bunny said it was being "really popular", with Jett adding "and rich".

When she asked them if they thought she is a good mum, Jett told her "sort of".

Katie also asked her youngest children how they feel when people say unkind things about her.

They both said it made them feel "angry", with Bunny adding: "It's wrong to say stuff about other people."

She asked her husband-to-be Carl Woods how he feels about all the criticism, and he told her: "You come under extra scrutiny which must make it even harder…

"No matter what you do, someone is always going to gun at you… There's nothing wrong with the mother that you are, you're a fantastic mum."
