Ashley Cain has paid a visit to daughter Azaylia's grave and says he felt her "energy" and "strength".

The former Ex on the Beach star, 30, and his partner Safiyya Vorajee lost their beloved eight-month-old baby girl in April following her battle with an aggressive form of leukaemia.

Now Ashley has shared some heartfelt posts on his Instagram Stories about his beloved daughter as he paid a visit to her grave on Wednesday.

Sharing a shot of her grave in the sun, he penned on the post: "Today I felt your energy

"Today I felt your strength

"Today I felt your courage".

Ashley later shared a shot of her grave in the evening, surrounded by soft toys, lights, and photos of Azaylia, providing a sweet tribute to his baby daughter.

The former footballer captioned the post: "Goodnight Godbless My Beautiful Angel [Angel emoji]"

He added: "I Love You [red heart emoji]".

On Thursday, Ashley shared a sweet old video of himself with Azaylia "watching TV with her daddy".

He captioned the post on Instagram: "My special girl turns 10 months old today in heaven. She brought so much happiness, love, strength, courage and gratitude into not only my life, but my partners, my families and even people around the world.

"Even though I am hurting beyond words, I feel blessed and proud to say I am your daddy and you are my daughter."

Ashley went on: "You lit up the world when it was dark, you gave hope when there was despair and the legacy you left behind will continue to help families and children around the world for decades to come.

"You were, you are and you always will be Special my baby. I love you and I miss you so so much! MY HERO".

On Wednesday, the star had written about his approach to grief and shared some words for other parents who are grieving the loss of a child.

Ashley wrote: “If there are any parents out there who are grieving over the loss of their child.

"I want you to know your children are in heaven where they can see you, hear you but also be around you.

"Don’t give up in yourself, it is important that we stand up, that we talk to them everyday and that we make them proud.

"We can come together, stand strong, support each other and do good on this earth so we can earn our place in heaven, where we will be with them again for eternity."
