Jake Paul has released a video of a cringeworthy speech he delivered moments before his brother walked out to face Floyd Mayweather.

Logan Paul took the ring legend the full eight rounds of their exhibition bout last Sunday – surprising many in the process.

And his younger sibling, who has a professional boxing record of 3-0, was there every step of the way to provide encouragement.

In a video posted to social media, the speech begins partway through as Paul says: "…and for war. Your mind is a powerful tool, let your brain wake up every cell in your body.

"I want you to see yourself winning right now and feel it in every cell of your body."

At this stage Paul's coach Milton Lacroix interrupts to say, "See it, achieve it, believe it," an incorrect version of the often-quoted motivational phrase.

Paul continues: "Replay the win again. You're moments away from that happening, reality hasn't caught up yet.

"When you walk into that ring in just a few moments your energy will be the strongest in the stadium.

your energy will rise above.

"No nerves, no other focus, just a simple task you've lived your whole live to perform, this is your day.

"You did everything right, you've already won. This is to show the world what the f*** you're made of and who the f*** Logan Paul is.

"For your family, for your kids in the future, I want you to fight for them. You've said it to me before, either come back with the W or come back on your shield."

The group in the dressing room then perform some sort of 'energy ritual' as Paul says: "I want everyone to send Logan that winning energy right now, see it in your mind right now ands on three we're going to send it to him with a roar."

If Logan was sent out with a roar, he produced something of a whimper in the ring.

He used his significant height and weight advantage to hug Mayweather throughout the contest, but his tactics paid off as he heard the final bell.

Paul also filmed himself towards the end of the fight roaring his brother on and declared he had inflicted a career defeat on Mayweather.

In reality, no winner was announced due to the exhibition nature of the bout and the fight was not added to either man's professional record.

The bout did prove popular with fans however with one million tuning on via to the pay-per-view in America, raising $50million, some of which will be shared by the fighters.

Mayweather will almost certainly bank $50m from the bout himself with Paul set to earn upwards of $10m for his 24 minutes in the ring.
