With six series already consigned to history, it's hard enough to keep up with the Love Islanders that win the competition – let alone the ones that barely get a look in.
But each year, a number of contestants quietly turn up, failed to couple up, and leave before it's all really begun.
A handful of others have left for personal reasons or been booted off from the show in the really early days – before the real connections and sparks start to fly.
These are the Love Islanders that barely scratched the surface – let alone got any snogging in.
Love Island alum Olivia Attwood highlights slender figure in chic outfits
Carl appeared on Love Island as a bombshell in 2016
Katie Price's fiance actually had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo on Love Island back in 2016.
Those wondering how they missed him in the mix with that year's contestants, including Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen, should cast their minds back further than the villa, to the speed dating task.
Carl didn't make it into the villa, and only appeared in a brief segment of the show very early on.
Speaking on the show, Carl described himself as "charming, confident, game, outrageous and irresistible."
"Being a Channing Tatum look-a-like is a bonus to say the least," he added.
Since his time on Love Island, Carl has also appeared on ITV2’s Killer Camp in 2018, but properly rose to prominence in July 2020 when he began dating Katie.
A source told The Sun: "He’s her ideal man, really: he’s got a job and his own money, he’s fit, they have a laugh – and she really fancies him."
The duo have been dating for ten months and Carl still works as a car dealer in Essex.
Harley was a groundskeeper based in Norwich just before he joined the reality show in 2017.
He was coupled up with Amber Davies during the early stages of the series. Amber went on to win the show with Kem Cetinay.
Already muscular and ripped back then, in the years since Love Island Harley has been bodybuilding – and is now even more toned than he was on the show four years ago.
Competing at muscle man contests around the UK, Harley shares his muscle mass gains on his Instagram page, as well as his various trophy wins from competitions.
After winning a trophy recently the reality star, who is now 24, wrote: ""1ST F*****G PLACE!!
"Only gone and done it, all the hard work has paid off
"10 weeks of dieting, hours in the gym, hours of cardio .. PURE GRIT .. blood, sweat, and no tears (close a few times).
"To say I’m proud of myself is an understatement."
There was controversy in 2019 when contestant Sherif was kicked out of the Love Island villa for flaunting the rules.
Sherif, a rugby player, lasted only 9 days in the villa before he was kicked out by bosses for seriously undermining the rules.
After leaving the villa Sherif revealed he had accidentally kicked contestant Molly-Mae in the groin area, and made a joke that it was a "c**t putt* to another contestant named Tommy Fury.
In an official statement Sherif said: ""I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20 year old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from."
A Love Island spokesman said: "After breaking the villa rules Sherif had conversations with the producers and it was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa."
Since leaving the show Sherif has been working as an influencer on Instagram, partnering with sports and fitness brands, as well as clothing brands.
Malia was kicked off just hours after entering the villa during the 2016 version of the show.
Things quickly became heated after Malia accused fellow contestant Kady McDermott of spilling her drink over her.
Kady later alleged that she'd received a nose bleed during the row which saw Malia ejected, but Malia hit back, calling her a "compulsive liar" when the two clashed online.
In 2019 Malia announced that she was pregnant and engaged to her footballer fiancé, Bradford City star Hope Akpan.
Sharing images of the baby online, she captioned the pictures: "Welcome To The World Baby Halo, dreams do come true, we are eternally grateful!
"Thank you God, born 25th October 12:45pm weighing 7.7 pounds.
"Still speechless and overwhelmed with love."
In the years since she has been relatively quiet online, and her Instagram page is private, although it appears she was once promoting a food delivery service.
Cornish land owner Ollie Williams, who also goes by his official family title of Viscount Clifden, quit the Love Island villa after just three days in 2020 after he revealed the experience of the dating show made him realise he was still in love with his ex.
At the time a source told The Sun: "The show made Ollie realise he wasn't ready to be in another serious relationship and he still has really strong feelings for Laura."

Ollie, whose chat up line was that he owns Polzeath Beach in north Cornwall, now appears to be working for an organisation which take visitors out on shooting trips in the Cornish countryside.
He also films video content for a hunting channel, according to his Instagram.
Daniel Lukakis and Javi Shephard fight over Love Island's Olivia Buckland
Javi appeared on the second season of Love Island but left the villa after 6 days after failing to couple up.
These days, he's selling sports merch on his Instagram page with discount codes, including plenty of basketball products, and he seems to enjoy trekking in his spare time, as he posts plenty of photos from outdoorsy locations.
Tyne-Lexy Clarson and Jack Fincham have been spotted looking intimate

Tyne was in the third season of Love Island, but only lasted 7 days in the villa after failing to couple up. She had been on a date with Chris Hughes though, the Islander who went on to date Little Mix's Jesy Nelson.
Tyne has been back in the headlines this year when she was rumoured to be with Jack Fincham, but neither publicly confirmed that they were dating.
The pair, who worked together on gangster movie The Last Heist, posed together during Jack's 30th birthday celebrations recently, and Tyne shared the image.
Since Love Island, alongside working as an actor, Tyne has been presenting on BBC Radio Stoke, as well as on Sky Sports.
Eve was briefly on season 6 of the reality show. She left the villa after six days, after failing to couple up, and these days seems to be travelling to countries like Mexico to promote fashion lines for her Instagram.
Love Island 2019 star Callum Macleod hinted unseen scenes with Amber
Callum was the first contestant from the 2019 series to be dumped from the island after failing to find love. Since the show, the aircraft engineer has been doing some modelling work, as well as promoting clothing lines.
Scott Thomas says he was 'just a boy' as he reflects on life-changing Love Island stint
Niall appeared on the 2018 version of the show, but left due to a stress-induced period of psychosis related to his Asperger's Syndrome, after just seven days in the villa.
"For far too long I have suffered in silence and not acknowledged a massive fact about my life which going into the villa has led me to finally realise and accept," he wrote on social media after he left the villa.
Niall also discussed his struggles with depression after leaving the villa in a video posted online.
In it he says he hopes his experience will help others: "I’d hope what people get from watching this short video is that people can be very good at masking what they might be going through and just checking up on people can really help."
Love Island’s Kendall Rae Knight looks incredible as she swaps dark tresses for honey blonde hair

Kendall entered the villa during season 4 of Love Island, but left on day 6 after failing to couple up. She was linked to contestant Eyal Booker during a reunion show, where the two shared a kiss, but speaking to The Sun Eyal revealed the romance hadn't gone any further.
Since leaving the villa Kendall is promoting health and beauty products online.
Love Island's Rachel Christie
Rachel Christie, a former athlete and the first Black Miss England, entered the first season of Love Island on day 1, and lasted until day 11. She coupled with a contestant called Omar, and the two stayed together until she left the villa.
Rachel has been outspoken about the lack of diversity on the show, and keeps a relatively low profile on her social platforms.
John and Tony Alberti
John and Tony Alberti achieved international success post Love Island – the pair have launched a culinary blog and appear on TV around the globe as the Twin Cooks

Brothers John and Tony entered the first season of Love Island back in 2015.
Both brothers entered the villa on day 3 but neither coupled up, so both left three days later on day 6 after an incredibly short run.
Since leaving the villa the two have released a cookbook together called 'Twinktastico' with recipes inspired by their Italian heritage. They also run their own YouTube cooking channel.
Connagh said he'd like to do either some presenting or start his own podcast
