The new series of hit dating show Love Island launches on Monday June 28 on ITV2 and we can't wait.

The sunkissed series has been dogged by controversy since it began in 2015 and in recent years, the show’s producers have been rationing the booze in a bid to stop contestants from becoming too raunchy.

But according to insiders, that didn’t stop the randy singletons from getting down to it. The couples admitted they were still having sex, just that their scenes weren’t shown on TV.

The cast of Love Island 2021 have spent months in lockdown, unable to go out and get some, so they’re probably not going to listen to the warnings issued from previous Love Islanders that getting frisky in public could ruin their future careers.

Montana Brown recently urged new Islanders to be realistic about their stardom, insisting "fame and money don’t last forever."

We take a look back at the celebrity couples who haven’t been afraid to get down and dirty even though the cameras were watching.

Paige Turley and Finn Tapp

Paige and Finn did tomato, apparently

The winter 2020 winners, who are still together, ignored the show’s sex ban and got straight into bed after Finn asked Paige to be his girlfriend.

Using a code that substitutes fruit and veg for sex acts, Finn told the boys he “did tomato” with Paige and that their “lovely evening” had been “banging”.

Hmm, what on earth could he mean by that?

Another duo from 2020, these two “did bits” in the Hideaway during last year’s series.

While the former beauty consultant and the semi-pro footballer didn’t officially couple up, she did him a sexy lap dance wearing saucy lingerie.

A year on, the pair have announced that they’ve bought a pandemic puppy in February, showing off their cute cockapoo, called Nala, on social media.

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury

This couple hooked up in the 2019 series and are still going strong.

The influencer and the boxer, who is the half-brother of champion Tyson Fury, were often romping, and during one moment Molly-Mae reached under the duvet and whispered: “It’s f***ing huge.”

Fans were horrified that her cuddly toy Ellie-Belly was on the bed at the same time as they got down to business.

Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson

Meg and Wes got it on during their stint in the Hideaway

In series four in 2018, Meg and Eyal Booker two were first into the Hideaway and getting their end away.

The couple were so quick to get lucky that voiceover star Iain Stirling even made a joke about it.

But Megan then moved onto Wes, and had sex with him twice, even while wearing her former bed-buddy Eyal’s jumper.

Rosie Williams and Adam Collard

In 2018, these two had a night of passion which went sour quickly afterwards.

The lawyer and the personal trainer were filmed with the covers on their bed moving, prompting Adam to say he had “a spring in his step” the next morning.

But within days he was dumped because he admitted he preferred new girl Zara.

Rosie later said that Adam’s ‘player behaviour’ had enhanced his chances on the show, whereas she’d had regrets.

Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt

This loved-up couple have become one of the show's true success stories.

They are still together and parents to a little girl named Nell and they are currently planning their wedding.

They announced their engagement in February this year with a soppy Instagram post, showing a picture of their little Nell wearing a babygro that said “Mummy, will you marry my Daddy?”

Love Island fans were there right at the start of their romance when shy former bomb disposal expert Camilla clapped eyes on the male model in 2017.

They sealed the deal between the sheets and the rest is history.

Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay

A rare moment when Kem and Amber were standing up

The winners of the 2017 season were at it, a lot. Particularly in the afternoons.

They were memorably seen rejecting the relative privacy of the shower or the loo, because those locations were “claustrophobic” and disgusting” preferring to have their quickies in bed.

Amber and Kem went on to win the show, but the romance didn't last and they split just months later.

Jess Shears and Dom Lever

This couple took a roll in the hay, well, the Hideaway, in season three.

They’ve done everything on TV, even getting married in 2018 on Good Morning Britain.

They now share a son, baby Presley, born last year.

The stars of series three were a bit sneaky, getting jiggy with it secretly.

But the next day they announced what they’d be up to, tipping off the cameras to keep an eye on them day and night.

Jess later told Mail Online of the villa romps: "I wasn’t going to have sex because I felt that I’m not the kind of person who would be comfortable doing that.

'But Dom made me feel comfortable. That was our crowning glory. It wasn’t just about sex with us, it was emotional and intellectual, not just physical. We had a connection."

Since leaving the villa, they have got married and welcomed a son together.

Emma-Jane Woodhams and Terry Walsh

Terry and Emma didn't mind having an audience

They were the shocking stars of season two, who shagged on top of the covers in front of the other contestants.

Recalling the moment that Emma climbed on top of Terry, the 2016 finalist Olivia Buckland said: "They blocked us out.

"Like they had blinkers on like horses do and they just carried on." Whoah!

Olivia Buckland and Rykard Jenkins

Rykard and Olivia ended up in bed together

Olivia Buckland eventually married fellow contestant Alex Bowen, but not before she had a night time sex session with personal trainer Rykard.

She told him, “If you say anything, I’ll f***ing kill you”, but it was too late – the cameras, and the viewers, had seen it all.

Let’s not forget Alex… the 2016 series was notorious for the bed-hopping between the toned and tanned youngsters.

New boy Alex (now married to Olivia, keep up) arrived late, and within less than 24 hours he was doing the no-pants dance with the former Miss Great Britain.

While Alex’s reputation wasn’t dented, poor Zara ended up losing her Miss GB beauty queen crown and said “I made one silly, stupid mistake of being in the moment and it has ruined everything.”

Malin Anderson and Terry Walsh

In a crowded field, this couple, from series two must win the prize for being the biggest exhibitionists.

They played doctors and nurses in the same bedroom as all the other contestants.

The other Love Islanders cheered them on once they realised while the former make-up artist and the tattooed carpenter continued.
