Disturbing footage captures an ITV News reporter swear and threaten a member of the public in a foul-mouthed tirade as he tries to film a segment.

Callum Watkinson, a journalist with ITV News Central, became so annoyed while delivering his piece to camera he stopped to turn to the young man and shout profanities.

Footage shared widely on Twitter shows the reporter walk towards the man and ask: "I'm just trying to do a job. Have you got a job?"

The man replies: "Yeah I do."

But then an irate Mr Watkinson shouts: "Well don't f***ing do it, and I won't come into your workplace and start f***ing with you."

Mr Watkinson seems to compose himself to film another piece to camera but walks back to the man and says: "If you get behind me again, I'll f***ing bang you out, yeah?"

The footage appears to cut and then show Mr Watkinson say: "Why don't you get a job and then I'll come behind you and start being an idiot."

He gesticulates an action, implying the man may have ruined a previous attempt at a piece to camera.

"Where do you work, Foot Locker or McDonald's?" Mr Watkinson then shouts.

"He (the man) was in a public place," reads another.

A third post reads: "He’s fully lost it, threatening to ‘bang out’ strangers because they waved in a public space."
