Male strippers are so desperate to give fans the full package again that they would risk being banged up, says their boss.

A ban on audiences touching them has turned dance troupe Dreamboys’ pandemic into a nightmare.

And the ripped hunks are pumped for June 21, when they still hope Boris Johnson will strip away all lockdown rules so punters can have a hands-on experience again.

A delay would be un bare able for the lads, who have vowed to lend their muscle to impresario Andrew Lloyd Webber, who is determined to open his theatres on June 21 even if he is arrested.

Dreamboy Shane Finlayson, 33, is sure there is huge pent-up demand for their act after the frustrations of lockdown.

Fans flock to see Dreamboys to get the full hands-on experience

Shane, with the troupe for six years, said the show is not the same with the two-metre, no-touching rule in place.

He said: “You want to have a hands-on experience and bring someone up on stage – like a nan or a hen – because it gets the crowd going and they remember it more.

"If it’s just us taking our tops off it cuts out half the show.

“I’ve had loads of crazy experiences like drunk women throwing their bras and knickers at me.

"So many girls grabbed us that one lad had a panic attack.

“Everyone needs a bit of fun now and most people have been good and got their vaccine. It’s time to open up.”

Alice Woods, the first female director of the Dreamboys, thinks her lads would rather go to jail than cancel their club nights and UK tour.

She said the troupe are right behind Lord Lloyd-Webber.

She said “Andrew Lloyd Webber says he is prepared to be arrested if the Government extends lockdown and we stand with him on that.

“Live entertainment needs to be allowed to open in some form or another and our dancers have been out of work for 15 months.

“We are running shows in Liverpool and Manchester and we had to put on extra security because people are so excited to be out.”

She said: “The audiences are smaller but they are wilder because of the repression during lockdown.

“For the full Dreamboys experience you certainly need to have some contact, it is not quite the full package if we are socially distanced.

“The women who get pulled on stage normally get a lap dance and they might touch the dancer’s abs or whatever, but you can’t do that under the current rules.

“Also… the dancers say the hand sanitiser really stings if you get it on the wrong parts!”
