Through their heartbreak, the couple have been open with fans about their emotions and feelings.
And in an honest post on her Instagram Stories, Safiyya admitted she had been struggling "mentally and emotionally" with her grief and anxiety over the past few weeks, following Azaylia's tragic death after a battle with leukaemia.
"So over the past few weeks, it's been really really difficult mentally and emotionally to be dealing with all of this grief that I'm going through at the moment," she said in an honest chat with her followers.

"And I haven't been able to work for such a long time and I've been really battling with trying to keep myself busy, making myself occupied with things so I don't fall into a pit.
"I've always been the kind of person who works really hard and I always put my mind and my energy and my full focus into everything that I do."

Safiyya has decided she wants to go back to work as an aesthetics practitioner and she is currently studying in a bid to refresh her mind about the different services she offers.
Ashley and Safiyya devastatingly lost their daughter Azaylia earlier this year
"I've had to wait over the last few weeks to take time for myself and to slowly build myself back up and my confidence with seeing people and being around people again because we've had Covid, we've been in the hospital for such a long time and all of that has a massive impact on being anxious of going back out again," she explained.

"And I've decided now I'm going to take this step and I'm going to open up my diary … I do aesthetics and I'm currently studying at the moment to refresh so many areas and so many services that I will be delivering."
The 33-year-old says her daughter is her biggest inspiration to go back out there and get back to work.

She said: "Azaylia is my inspiration and every single day, she got up and she fought and she battled and I just only have to think of her and think of how strong she was and she didn't let anything defeat her and she just kept going and going and she amazed us all.
"She's an absolute inspiration so as Azaylia's mum, I only have to look at my daughter and be inspired to get up and go and achieve, to go and succeed in life and be my own motivation.
"All I'm doing is thinking of her in this situation and what she would do and it's really helping me."
