Love Island fans have waited for almost two years for the hit ITV dating show to make a comeback.

And avid fans of the dating show will finally be put out of their misery tonight as the much-loved reality show returns for its seventh series.

The show is set to kick off on ITV2 tonight at 9PM where fans will meet the eleven gorgeous islanders for the first time.

New episodes will air every evening, with the exception of Saturdays when a Love Island Best Bits will be broadcast as a round-up of the week’s trials and tribulations.

The brand-new series is expected to last six to eight weeks – much like previous seasons – and viewers are in for a treat as many reckon the seventh series of the show will be the raunchiest yet as the sex-starved islanders finally get the chance to mingle after months of being cooped up indoors.

The new series is being filmed in Majorca, Spain, after the show did a detour for the sixth series when cameras upped sticks to Cape Town, South Africa for a switch up in the winter series.

And in true Love Island fashion, it looks as though the first episode will be brimming with drama and unexpected twists.

The first episode hints at a brutal first dumping thanks to a bombshell’s late arrival.

In tonight's premiere for the 2021 series, presenter Laura Whitmore helps the girls – Kaz, Liberty, Sharon, Faye and Shannon – all meet their prospective new partners.

Before leaving, Laura says to the ladies: "Girls, just a little bit of advice from me, if you want to keep hold of your man you may have to graft a little bit harder, that’s all I’m saying."

Later on, when they’re all coupled up, the islanders enjoy their first drink together as a villa but the fun and games are bluntly interrupted when Toby gets a message that includes a voice note from blonde bombshell Chloe Burrows.

Chloe is heard saying: “Hey boys. How are you? Chloe here. I’ve just arrived and I’m outside the front of the Villa.
