Love Island fans were left highly unimpressed with the new series' ‘cringey’ introduction.
The telling montage which featured the eleven new islanders saw the hopefuls act out an array of scenes relating to their personalities and occupations – but the clips didn’t go down well with viewers.
In tonight's premiere for the 2021 series, presenter Laura Whitmore helped the girls – Kaz, Liberty, Sharon, Faye, and Shannon – all meet their prospective new partners.
The five boys were then introduced in the form of Jake, Aaron, Hugo, Toby, and Brad.
While thousands of viewers flocked to Twitter to share their excitement about the new islanders, others couldn’t look past the ‘cringey’ introduction.

“I’m sorry but the Love Island intro was so cringe #loveisland,” fumed one fan.
“Watching this every year makes me actually cringe but I love it so much hahahah, the intro videos are HORRIFIC,” another quipped.
“I’ll be real, Jake does not know how to sell himself. Awkward intro. He mortified himself there,” another complained.
Meanwhile, someone else raged: “Why do producers have to make the intro so unbearable every single year? It’s turned me off to be honest.

“Oh, wow that intro was ridiculous. What in the name of the lord are they all talking about?” another fan asked.
After all the islanders were coupled up, they enjoyed their first drink together as a villa.
But the fun and games were bluntly interrupted when Toby got a message that includes a voice note from blonde bombshell Chloe Burrows.
Chloe could be heard saying: “Hey boys. How are you? Chloe here. I’ve just arrived and I’m outside the front of the Villa.
