Hungary manager Marco Rossi has taken aim at Cristiano Ronaldo for the second time after Portugal were eliminated from Euro 2020.

Rossi also took aim at France forward Kylian Mbappe and Germany captain Manuel Neuer after the two nations followed the holders out of the tournament.

Hungary were drawn in the so-called Group of Death alongside Portugal, France and Germany, managing to hold the latter two heavyweights to draws.

But Rossi's side finished bottom of Group F having always faced an uphill battle to qualify after their 3-0 opening-game defeat by Portugal, with the Italian manager later branding goalscorer Ronaldo "annoying".

Portugal progressed to the last 16 as one of the best third-placed teams from the group stage, but fell to a 1-0 defeat by Belgium to end their hopes of European glory.

Group F-winners France met with the same fate albeit under vastly-different circumstances with a breathtaking penalty-shootout loss to Switzerland.

And Germany's 2-0 defeat by England on Tuesday evening ensured every team from the Group of Death has been eliminated before a quarter-final has been played.

Rossi took to social media to revel in that fact late on Tuesday night, posting a picture of Ronaldo, Neuer and Mbappe with their suitcases on a beach backdrop.

He accompanied the Instagram post with a brutal caption, saying: "See you soon at the beach!"

The former Sampdoria star also posted the picture on his story with the location tag "on the beach" to further rub salt in Portugal, France and Germany's wounds.

Were you surprised to see all four teams from the Group of Death crash out? Comment below.

Rossi initially hit out at Ronaldo over his goal celebrations in Hungary's defeat by Portugal, during which the Juventus marksman added two late strikes following Raphael Guerreiro's opener.

He told La Gazzetta dello Sport : "Ronaldo is a great champion but at times he can be annoying. After the penalty with us he celebrated as if he had scored in the final. People notice these things."

Ronaldo has not responded to Rossi's comments, with his latest post on Instagram a classy message following Portugal's loss to Belgium.

"We didn't get the result we wanted and we left the race sooner than we wanted," he wrote.

"But we are proud of our journey, we gave everything to renew the title of European Champions and this group proved that it can still give much joy to the Portuguese.

"Our fans were tireless in supporting the team from start to finish. We ran and fought for them, in order to live up to the trust they placed in us.

"It was not possible to get where we all wanted, but here is our sincere and profound thanks. Congratulations to Belgium and good luck to all the teams that remain in the competition.

"As for us, we will come back stronger. Strength Portugal!"
