Love Island has finally returned to our screens after a year of lockdown and it has already brought us everything we've been waiting for with its drama and shocking moments.
Barely 48 hours into the show, Shannon Singh was already booted out of the villa.
At the end of Tuesday night's episode, bombshell Chloe Burrows was preparing to let the Islanders know which man she had chosen to steal and couple up with.
Before Chloe could reveal her pick, the tense scenes ended with an abrupt cliffhanger and it had been revealed that the decision meant Shannon had to leave.
This is the earliest a contestant has ever left the show, but definitely not the most shocking exit since the ITV2 show began.
From Amy Hart's heartache over Curtis Pritchard's actions in Casa Amor to Zara Holland's bedroom antics, there have been endless departures from the villa.
Here's a look back at all the sudden exits and heartbreak departures from the nation's favourite reality show.
Amy was coupled up with Curtis
Amy Hart was part of the series five group of drama-loving contestants and was coupled up with dancer Curtis Pritchard.
Everything was going a-okay until the dreaded Casa Amor came into play, where Curtis immediately had his head turned by Jourdan Riane.
The duo had stayed together since walking into the villa, but Curtis' uncertainty and mind games caused a lot of pain for the Worthing lass.
Bombshell Maura Higgins showed an interest in the ballroom dancer much to Amy's dismay, and she decided to make a quick exit from the show
She gathered the fellow Islanders around the firepit to explain how her "Love Island journey had finished" after the break-up with Curtis, and said she wouldn't be able to find someone else in the time left.
Sherif left after an altercation with Molly-Mae
Sherif Lanre was part of the same series as Amy but was unfortunately booted out before he got a chance to make many connections.
He was on of the original Islanders and was coupled up with pharmacist Anna Vakili, but was later taken out of the show after an off-camera situation with Molly-Mae Hague.
The star was joking around with Molly-Mae when he accidentally kicked her in the groin, but it was said the pair laughed about it after.
His actions had broken the villa rules, according to the producers.
Sherif told The Sun: "I did kick Molly-Mae in the groin area, but it was an accident and she 100 per cent was not injured afterwards.
"I turned to Tommy and said, 'That was a c*** punt.' I realise now that was wrong and I would like to apologise."
He left after three days
Ollie Williams joined the first-ever Winter series of Love Island and already became a controversial contestant before the show even began.
Photos of him hunting animals surfaced online but the Islander was still part of the series.
It resulted in the TV channel receiving over 400 Ofcom complaints for allowing him to participate.
However, after just three days in the villa, he left the show and told viewers it was because he was still hung up on someone in his life.
Samira found a connection with Frankie
Samira Mighty entered the villa of the fourth series on day one and struggled to find someone to have a meaningful connection with.
Luckily, things started looking up when Frankie Foster joined the cast on day 30.
Her luck was short-lived when he was eliminated from the show, with Samira deciding to walk out to join him on the outside.
Unfortunately, the couple broke up just one month later.
Niall left the show for 'personal reasons'
Part of the same series as Samira, the star joined the show on day one in hopes of finding a special someone to call his.
Barely a few episodes into the 2018 series, Niall decided to depart the show for 'personal reasons'.
He has since opened up about what happened, telling the Mirror that he suffered stress-induced psychosis brought on – he claimed – in part by the producers failing to make reasonable adjustments for his autism.
“It isn't necessarily aftercare [that’s the problem], it's pre-care,” he said.
“No-one talks about this. It's the before-care, it's the transparency and things like this that people don't actually talk about. It's the stuff they go on and during, it's not the after. Once it's done it's done, it's got to be hard regardless. it's the during and before that needs looking at.”
Zara lost her Miss GB title

Former Miss GB Zara Holland walked into the villa in series two and had a hard time throughout her days there.
After sleeping with contestant Alex Bowen, she discovered she was stripped of her Miss GB title by pageant bosses.
She still decided to stay on the series but soon found out her mum was ill and swiftly exited to be home and support her.
Malia left the series the same day she entered
Although it feels like a lifetime ago, Malia Arkian had one of the most shocking exits when she joined series two of the show.
She walked into the villa on day seven, and walked out on – you guessed it – day seven.
Tensions rose when she went on a date with Kady McDermott's man Scott Thomas and an argument broke out which resulted in spilled drinks and broken dishes.
"Love Island is huge, and it’s a platform for a great career, but my chance of an amazing life was destroyed in a few hours," she said of her short experience a few years on.
"Luckily I had a really strong support system around me."
Sophie left the show as she missed Tom
Sophie Gradon walked into the villa for series two and fell for barman Tom Powell before he was eliminated.
She went on to couple up with glamour model Katie Salmon in the series first-ever same-sex pairing but decided to leave after admitting she missed Tom.
The star left the villa and reunited with Tom and the two dated for several months until November 2016.
Two years later, in June 2018, Sophie was found dead at the age of 32 with officials stating that her death was most likely a suicide.
Rykard wanted to leave with Rachel
Rykard Jenkins was coupled up with Rachel Fenton during his time on the season two Love Island, but she was soon eliminated.
He revealed he decided to leave with her much to the other contestants' shock.
The couple worked through their issues and stayed together on the outside for around 18 months before splitting.
