A “haunting” final picture has shown two sisters looking to their left moments before being attacked and stabbed to death at a London park.

Bibaa Henry, 46, and Nicole Smallman, 27, were found in undergrowth of Fryent Country Park having suffered more than 30 stab wounds in the early hours of June 6 last year.

The sisters had spent the night with friends celebrating Ms Smallman’s birthday by enjoying a picnic and watching the sunset at the park, My London reports.

Bibaa and Nicole arrived together at about 7pm carrying plastic bags containing food and alcohol. They were joined by at least six friends and spent the night in high spirits dancing and listening to music.

The last of their friends left the park at about midnight, but the sisters stayed later, continuing to take pictures while dancing with fairy lights.

The pair set up a camera and took more than 100 pictures in various poses using a clicker.

Chillingly, one of the pictures shows both sisters looking to their left having had their attention drawn away from the camera.

Detectives believe this is the moment that the pair were attacked by then 18-year-old Danyal Hussein, who had been lying in wait at the park for about four hours.

DCI Simon Harding said: “This is the haunting image of the women looking to the left. We believe their attention was drawn by Danyal Hussein.

“No more photos were taken after that.”

A murder trial at the Old Bailey heard Bibaa was attacked first and was “taken by surprise and quickly overpowered”.

Nicole, having likely seen her sister attacked, suffered wounds to her arms and legs suggesting she “put up a fight” before being brutally murdered.

Hussein, who made a deal with a demon to “sacrifice women” in order to win the lottery, then dragged the bodies more than 70 metres into undergrowth.

The sisters were found by concerned friends the next day.

Hussein, of Guy Barnett Grove, Blackheath, was convicted of two counts of murder and possession of an offensive weapon on Tuesday.

He will be sentenced on September 22.
