Love Island fans have been left fuming as the show clashes with England's semi-final Euros match.

England was playing against Denmark in the EUFA Euros 2020 semi-final football game.

However, as both teams were at a 1-1 score, the football match ran past 10pm and clashed with the delayed Love Island episode.

Thankfully, England got to the Euros 2020 final in the end but the timing of the match on ITV had prompted Love Island to move from its usual slot on ITV2 at 9pm to an hour later at 10pm – prompting some upset reactions from fans.

Despite some perhaps expecting a further delay for the reality show, ITV2 aired the reality dating show as planned at 10pm.

The clash prompted furious Love Island fans taking to Twitter, irritated that they had to choose between the two show.

One wrote: "Gonna have to forget love island tonight , this football match is actually it !!!

Another Love Island fan wrote: "I can’t watch love island and football at once tf".

Meanwhile, one person penned: "keep switching between love island and football [crying emojis]".

Another viewer concluded: "there’s a battle taking place on my tl between the forces of football Twitter and the People of the Love Island"

A different viewer added: "Can’t believe I’m missing love island for football who am".

The new episode sees the girls head back into the villa knowing that new arrivals Lucinda and Millie are now there to potentially disrupt their couplings.

Rachel is already troubled, thinking that Lucinda's presence could ruin her coupling with Brad.

Meanwhile, Faye was not pleased with Lucinda and Millie's presence.

New girl Lucinda also made clear that she did not have a single type in a conversation with the boys and the girls.

Events soon turn tenser as the girls must endure Lucinda and Millie inviting boys on dates with them.

During one date, Millie asks Aaron: he asks him: "Are you willing to get to know each other a little bit more?"

"Yeah, of course, I've only known you a little while," Aaron replies.

Will heads truly be turned?

It seems it could be the case as due to the dates and Sharon's upset at Hugo making comments about being "fake" exploded the night before, Aaron decided he and Sharon were not a good match.

Later, Aaron and Sharon are alone as he tells her: "I wanted to chat after yesterday but I didn't want to chat while emotions were still high.

"Personally, I do prefer someone a lot more chilled. Personally, I do not feel like we would be strong outside."
