A boss insisted they had "no choice" but to sack their employee after pulling a sickie to attend England's win over Denmark on Wednesday.
It came as the Three Lions reached their first final in 55 years following a 2-1 win over the Danes at Wembley.
The final is set to go ahead on Sunday night with some around the country wondering whether or not to call in sick the next day if the English win.
But those working at Composite Prime might think twice after Charles Taylor's zero-tolerance policy.
Nina Farooqi found herself in trouble when she was caught on live TV cheering and celebrating at Wembley as England equalised in the first-half.

But the 37-year-old was brought down to earth with a shudder when she was told she had been fired after being caught out.
Composite Prime boss Charles Taylor insisted he had no choice but to sack her after breaching her contract.
He said: “It’s an exciting time for everyone in England and given the opportunity, we would have encouraged attendance to such an important football match.

"Unfortunately on this occasion our employee lied, taking one day off sick to attend the football match on Wednesday.
"This was in breach of her employment contract and so we had no choice but to take the appropriate action.
"As a business we value honesty and integrity, and we don't tolerate any employee taking advantage of our policies.

"It’s mixed emotions: we’re through to the final, I’m still on that high, but I’ve also lost my job," she told the Telegraph.
"My friend won the ticket in her work ballot, and knew I'd do anything to get to the game – there was no way I was going to turn it down.
"This hasn’t come around since 1996, I vividly remember crying on my mum's sofa when Gareth Southgate missed his penalty, and the football fan in me just couldn’t do it. Football is my life."
