Manchester United's £73million signing of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund could help Manchester City land both Harry Kane and Jack Grealish, reports suggest.

United completed the signing of Sancho from Dortmund earlier this week, with the winger having completed his medical following the conclusion of the European Championships.

The Old Trafford outfit will pay £73m for the winger, and some of that money will end up in the pockets of their arch rivals, Manchester City.

Due to a sell-on clause included in the deal to send Sancho from City to Dortmund in 2017, the Etihad side will collect a fee in the region of £11m.

And according to the Athletic, that will be important when it comes to City's transfer plans of their own.

Pep Guardiola is eager to complete a double swoop for England internationals Kane and Grealish.

However, the two will likely cost upwards of £200m combined, with Tottenham and Aston Villa likely to demand £100m each.

Despite City being flush with cash, they are reportedly eager to sell before they buy and use their academy to do so.

They will reportedly allow several first-team players to leave, with reports suggesting the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling will all be allowed to leave.

According to The Athletic, they will offset the huge outlay required for both Grealish and Kane by selling players and freeing up money on their books.

Grealish is said to have a release clause hidden within his current contract at Villa Park, and the fee is said to be within City's grasp.

Personal terms aren't expected to be an issue for the Citizens, considering reports during the European Championship claimed he was eager to head to Manchester this summer and move on from Dean Smith's side.

Signing Kane might be slightly tougher, considering Tottenham chief Daniel Levy's stance that the striker will be going nowhere.
