Kate Garraway is filling Susanna Reid ’s shoes on Good Morning Britain as the presenter is set to take a break.
Good Morning Britain viewers were surprised to see Kate, 54, sitting in Susanna’s seat on Wednesday morning after the 50-year-old star cut her usual four-day work week down to three.
Susanna’s co-host Ben Shephard was joined by Kate – who usually presents on Fridays – as the pair told viewers that they ‘better get used’ to their faces for the next couple of days as they’re ‘not going anywhere’.
While the presenter failed to tell viewers why she was taking a break earlier than expected, some speculated that her holiday may have arrived sooner than expected after her heated row with fellow GMB star Dr. Hilary.
The pair clashed in a segment of the show on Monday while discussing the government’s decision to end Covid restrictions for Freedom Day.

Meanwhile, more fans insisted that Susanna is more than likely taking an early break ahead of her nomination at the National Reality TV Awards which are set to take place in London on Thursday.
The much-loved presenter has been nominated for Celebrity Personality of the Year 2021.
And in another category, Good Morning Britain is in the running for Most Inspiring TV Show 2021.

One GMB viewer shared: “Didn’t expect to see Kate Garraway on my screen when I turned on GMB this morning. I thought it was Friday already! Where’s Susanna gone?”
“Wonder why Susanna left on a Wednesday? She must have had enough of Dr.Hilary this week lol,” another quipped.
“Susanna is probably getting ready for the NRTV Awards guys. She deserves a break,” someone else insisted.

Meanwhile, a fourth fan shares: “What? Susanna is only on two days this week? She will be missed. Have a lovely time whatever you're doing.”
“Love Kate Garraway! She’s the best replacement for Susanna,” another GMB fan gushed.
It comes after Susanna’s savage clash with Dr Hilary earlier this week.

The mum-of-three insisted that people ought to look on the bright side of the coronavirus pandemic restrictions easing as life finally gets back to normal.
However, Dr Hilary disagreed, insisting that it ‘really isn't the time’ to lift all restrictions in England as Covid cases continue to rise.
