A rapist milkman is attempting to get compensation after complaining that he hit his head on a family’s gate during a delivery.

Sexual predator Scott Kerr was locked up for 10 years in 2012 after he admitted to raping a woman and sexually assaulting another on the same night in Glasgow.

Since his release from prison, the 31-year-old has managed to trick his way into a job as a milkman, and claimed he suffered an injury while making deliveries at Mark Grimley’s Glasgow home, reported the Daily Echo.

Kerr has since been sacked after failing to disclose his criminal past, but Mark was left shocked when he received a legal letter claiming he failed his ‘duty of care’ towards the offender when he hit his head on Mark’s front gate.

Garage owner Mark, 30, said: “I think it’s a joke he could try and sue for such a stupid thing – never mind the fact that he’s a convicted rapist.

“Obviously the last thing you want is a rapist going through people’s gardens late at night.

“His claim is ridiculous. If he’s hit his head it’s his own fault.”

Ex-call centre worker Kerr had been on a Christmas staff night out when he carried out terrifying sex attacks on two women in Glasgow city centre on December 21, 2011.

He was caught on CCTV hanging around in the area for 40 minutes before targeting his first victim, a 20-year-old woman who was trying to walk home from a night out.

Kerr dragged her off the pavement and into a car park, where he sexually assaulted her, and she managed to raise the alarm by catching the attention of a taxi driver.

Just 15 minutes later he attacked a 22-year-old woman who was going home from a Christmas party, threatening to kill her as he dragged her down a ramp and raped her.

Kerr admitted both of the offences, even though he claimed to have no memory of them happening.

It has now come to light that since getting out of prison, the sex offender has duped his way into a job as a milkman with McQueen’s Dairies, just outside of Glasgow.

Mark and his partner Kirsty McCallum, 32, received a letter from Digby Brown solicitors earlier this month stating that Kerr hurt himself on their property while making a delivery, and needed hospital treatment for a head injury.

The letter said: “A metal frame had been constructed across the front of the driveway at head height.

“Our client collided with said metal frame and suffered injury.

"You ought to have notified my client’s employer of the hazard or provided sufficient lighting on the premises to warn of the hazard. You have failed to act with reasonable care.”

Disbelieving father-of-one Mark said: “We were getting electric sliding gates made but at that point it was just a big hollow square before the timber got put in.

“Where my house is, there is a street lamp in line with my gate post. It’s never that dark and I’ve been out at night to see what I can see and it’s perfectly visible.

“We couldn’t believe it. Especially when we found out he had served time for rape.”

When approached for comment, Digby Brown said it would no longer be representing Kerr.
