Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford married in 2010 after being introduced to one another in 1997.

And they often give fans glimpses of their relationship when they banter whilst presenting together on This Morning – which was no different on Monday's instalment of the magazine show.

At the start of the episode, Eamonn and Ruth explained that they had an expert joining them to give tips to singletons returning to dating following the lockdown.

After the dating guru explained how she was there to offer advice on dating and looking for love apps, Eamonn cheekily commented to his wife Ruth that he wonders if she'd have ever met anyone else if he had not married her.

Ruth, giggling at Eamonn's attempt to poke fun at her, told him "of course" she would have been able to find love if it wasn't with him.

Eamonn then asked the love expert if she believed Ruth would have a chance "swiping" on apps, to which the romance professional told him that Ruth would have no trouble with online dating.

Ruth then hit back to Eamonn: "Don't tempt me to try it!" as she joked that she'd sign up to dating apps to prove her point.

Eamonn then praised his wife as he told the cameras that she'd made him a delicious dinner on Sunday night before they laughed together.

Broadcaster Eamonn was two years out of his marriage to first wife, Gabrielle Holmes, who is the mother of his eldest three children, Declan, Rebecca and Niall, when he met Ruth.

After their split, and with three kids involved, Eamonn was keen to handle his new relationship with Ruth respectfully, and for that reason they kept it on the down-low, refusing to hold hands in public or attend events together.

Ruth has said that Eamonn's thoughtful gesture only made her fall for him even harder.

"I thought it spoke volumes about the sort of man he was, the sort of father he was and the integrity he had. It made me love him more, not less," she told the Daily Mail in November 2017.

Their son Jack arrived in 2002, and from 2006 onwards they co-hosted This Morning before being dropped in a shake-up just before Christmas.

Eamonn eventually proposed at the Cheltenham races in 2010, after asking Ruth's mother for her hand in marriage because, by that point, her father was in the late stages of Alzheimers.
