Coronation Street 's Gail Platt and David Platt were evicted from their home on Monday in heartbreaking scenes that moved viewers to tears.
Gail (Helen Worth) has lived at No.8 for more than 30 years, was evicted as part of the Ray Crosby building development storyline.
She and son David waved goodbye to the empty house in sad scenes where David apologised to tearful Gail for "mowing her slippers".
Gail will be moving in with son Nick Tilsley after he reluctantly offered her a place to stay, but spoilers reveal Ray's business plan falls through and everyone will be able to return to their homes.
One viewer tweeted: " #Corrie Poor Gail looked so sad tonight.Losing her house.Soon cheered up when Nick said she could move in".
Another remarked: "Gail is so good when she gets something serious to do. She can really break your heart. #Corrie ".

"The Platt house looks so big without the furniture. Poor Gail – after all her and "our Brian" and "what about the kids, Martin" went through to own their own property," added another.
But Gail is set for some interesting scenes in weeks to come as she investigates her family tree and finds out she may have a family member she has never met.

Gail confides in Nick that she has traced Fanny from the photo who it turns out is her great great grandmother, and she’s arranged to meet up with someone called Top Hat who claims Fanny is their great great grandmother too.

Gail joins Audrey in the Rovers, who is delighted to be having a drink with Archie’s son George Shuttleworth, but she is stunned to discover that Top Hat is none other than George himself.
Gail and George are thrilled to realise they share a set of great great grandparents, Fanny and Augustus Page.
Mary and Eileen call at the pub and are unimpressed to see George fawning over Gail.
As Eileen and Gail embark on a slanging match, George wonders what he’s got himself into.
