Shaun Wright-Phillips has urged Thomas Tuchel to buy a new striker for this coming season as he is adamant Chelsea cannot challenge for the Premier League title without one.
Tuchel did impressively well to lead the Blues into a top four finish as well as land the Champions League trophy in his first four months in charge.
Yet despite their solid 1-0 win over Manchester City, there was also a small sense of what might have been, given they lost the FA Cup final to Leicester and were lucky not to surrender their top four spot on the last day of the campaign.
As good as Chelsea have been under Tuchel's watch, goals have still been hard to come by for the likes of Timo Werner and co in attack.
And Wright -Phillips feels a new addition to bolster their front line is imperative if they want to build on last season's success.

“All the signs are there that they’re definitely looking for a striker," the former Blues winger told SBK Sportsbook . "They may buy a defender or two, but other than that there’s [not] much more you can do with that brilliant Chelsea team.
"It’s actually growing in depth and quality, so it’s a very strong squad and there is money to spend as there always is.
"They were great at scrappy 1-0 wins – but if you’ve got Jorginho as your top goal scorer on seven goals and they’re all penalties, I see that as the problem for any team challenging for the Premier League title against the attacking might of Manchester City."
As things stand it looks as though Chelsea could actually be losing strikers in the coming months, rather than gaining any.

Olivier Giroud takes aim at Kylian Mbappe amid France unrest ahead of Euro 2020
The club took up the option to extend Olivier Giroud's contract by a further year but the Frenchman could still leave Stamford Bridge amid interest from AC Milan, while Michy Batshuayi is expected to be sold.
Tammy Abraham also looks surplus to requirements having barely got a look in under Tuchel, but Chelsea will not let him go on the cheap.
While Jorginho did hit the most goals in the Premier League for the Blues, Giroud, Abraham and Werner all notched double figures in all competitions.
Werner has been better utilised in a wide-forward role, however, and a central striker is top of the club's transfer shortlist, with Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland thought to be the main targets.
Elsewhere, signing another defender seems likely, with Inter Milan's Achraf Hakimi a target, as Tuchel seeks quality over quantity to help lift his side to the next level.
"He [Tuchel] will shore up certain areas in defence, especially now that [Cesar] Azpilicueta is quite old, even though he had a fantastic season," Wright-Phillips added.
"But with [Edouard] Mendy in goal, Thiago Silva at the back, Reece James and [Ben] Chilwell on the sides and [Mason] Mount pulling the strings, you’re not in a bad place to start.”
