Sweden international Alexander Isak could replace Erling Haaland at Borussia Dortmund this summer, opening the Norway international up to a Manchester City move.
Isak played for the German club from 2017 to 2019 but didn't impress and so moved to Spanish side Real Socieded.
Since arriving in La Liga, Isak has found great form, scoring 17 goals in 34 top-flight appearances this season.
And Kicker reports Dortmund added a clause into his transfer that could see him return.
The German outlet claims the Bundesliga side inserted a €30million (£26m) buy-back option that comes in to force this summer which could soothe their striker headache if Haaland departs.
Erling Haaland could leave the club this summer
Dortmund won't want to sell Haaland in the transfer window, but if a club can produce an offer that meets their requirements, they will need to find another striker.
The German club are reportedly demanding at least £100million for the Norwegian star and some Premier League clubs are said to be interested.
Manchester City are the most likely suitors as they are looking for a replacement for Sergio Aguero.
City are also targeting Harry Kane, who is keen to leave Tottenham this summer.

A multitude of clubs are trying to sign the England captain including City's rivals Manchester United and Chelsea, but Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate has said nothing will be sorted until after Euro 2020.
He said: “I don't need to talk about Harry Kane regarding focus or professionalism. He has got one goal with us and that's to win a European Championship.
'"I know how important that is for him at this moment in time. What’s going on at his club is a matter for him and Tottenham.
Will Erling Haaland leave Borussia Dortmund this summer? Have your say in the comments.
“He’s obviously made some statements in the last few days, so in many respects that’s out of the way now. I’m talking across the board here.
“I think it’s very unlikely that transfer deals will be done while we’re away.
“I think that’s different when we have our camps in September – very often we’re on that deadline moment and every now and then we’ve had to help facilitate a medical or a meeting between a player and a manager.
“I am very realistic about those things. We’re not going to stop phones ringing.
“We can’t control conversations that are going on in private, but I wouldn’t expect… I think most deals are done at the end of tournaments or they are done in the first week at the end of the season.
“I would expect anything with our players to be after the tournament.”
